Donna Murphy has worked at Havas for the last 28 years. Her journey to health and wellness marketing was an odd one; she began her career at Ernst & Young before moving onto Goldman Sachs. Murphy joined Havas as it expanded into North America from its home base in France, and she was tasked with acquiring agencies and weaving the network together. One of the acquisitions she spearheaded for Havas was a health and wellness agency, and she fell in love.
Havas Health was built into the largest global health and wellness communications network by Murphy and her team, and is comprised of 65-plus multi-disciplined health focused marketing agencies in 50 countries. In her role as global CEO, Murphy leads 2,800 employees around the world. Havas Health was named Agency/Network of the Year by Adweek and Medical Marketing & Media.
Murphy was named Advertising Person of the Year by Med Ad News and the Most Influential Women of the Year by The Irish Voice. She is also a member of the Red Sox Foundation and Mass General Hospital Home Base Leadership Council, Bishop Kearney High School Trustee, Coalition for Healthcare Communication Executive Committee and board member of Project HOPE (Health Opportunities for People Everywhere.)
Murphy received a B.B.A. from Pace University in New York and lives in Wilton, Connecticut.
