Chief Creative Officer

JoonYong Park bring overs 16 years of interactive design experience to his role of Chief Creative Officer at Firstborn, a creative and technology company in New York City. In addition to guiding Firstborn’s visual design and user experience teams, Park partners with clients to ensure their creative vision serves as the building blocks for what will ultimately be created.

Park began his Firstborn career as a Senior Art Director in 2004, was promoted to Creative Director in 2007 and was named Chief Creative Officer in 2010. During these roles, he established Firstborn’s award-winning 3D animation department, and his talents have led to the successful production of high-profile projects for clients such as Wrigley’s, Aflac, Sony, L’Oréal, UNIQLO and Pepsi.

Growing up in both the U.S. and South Korea, Park found his creative calling at a young age. After honing his design and programming skills through self-home-schooling (and earning his high school diploma at age 16), he was able to circumvent South Korean military service by proving himself as one of the top coders in the country. He continues to channel that creative energy within and beyond Firstborn, constructing a treehouse for his kids inside his Manhattan apartment.
