Since taking the lead as MEC CEO in 2011, Marla Kaplowitz has driven the development and execution of the agency’s strategic growth initiatives, maintaining oversight of its North American operations.
Kaplowitz’s passion for and understanding of the business has helped create a truly client-centric partnership model to guide clients through marketing’s transformation. She has also been a driving influence in reinventing MEC’s approach to culture and people development empowering talent personally and professionally to thrive. MEC was named one of Ad Age's Best Places to Work in 2015.
With over 28 years of media and communications planning experience, Kaplowitz has lead accounts that span virtually every business sector. Prior to joining MEC, she spent 12 years at MediaVest, where she led the Procter & Gamble Communications Planning assignment for North America, and previously managed a multi-client team. Her career began at DMB&B before moving to Ammirati Puris Lintas.
Kaplowitz is a member of the 4A’s Media Leadership Council, Advertising Women of New York (AWNY) and in 2012 she was recognized by Ad Age as a Woman to Watch.
