Sharon Rothstein is global chief marketing officer for Starbucks Coffee Company. In this role, she has responsibility for stewardship of one of the world’s most recognizable brands while also overseeing the company’s portfolio of products from the company's growing handcrafted beverage line-up and new Starbucks Roastery curated retail merchandise to the Teavana tea brand.
As a key member of Starbucks senior leadership team reporting to Howard Schultz, Sharon leads the creation of the brand narrative for Starbucks retail business, marketing and innovation initiatives, creative expressions, advertising, and key business partnerships. She also has direct responsibility for leading Starbucks global creative studio and category brand management for the Americas, the company’s largest region. Additionally, Sharon co-chairs the Starbucks global brand leadership team and is responsible for amplifying and integrating the Starbucks brand and customer experience through the company’s rapidly expanding digital and loyalty platforms.
Prior to joining Starbucks in April 2013, Sharon served as senior vice president of marketing at innovative specialty beauty retailer Sephora. Rothstein authored Sephora’s global brand positioning, elevated the brand’s image and executed multi-channel integrated marketing campaigns. She also played an integral role in transforming Sephora’s digital experience with immersive content across all digital channels. Prior to Sephora, Rothstein held senior marketing and brand management positions with Godiva, Starwood Hotels and Resorts, and Procter & Gamble.
Rothstein earned her MBA from the University of California, Los Angeles and her Bachelor of Commerce from the University of British Columbia.
